The 2026 China International Elevator Exhibition opened on May 20 and runs through May 23 at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou. As a milestone event celebrating the exhibition’s 30th anniversary, this edition has attracted over 1,100 exhibiting companies and more than 100,000 professional visitors, showcasing cutting-edge technological achievements spanning from complete elevator manufacturing to component processing, and from intelligent operation and maintenance to scenario-based applications. The event has injected new vitality into the industry’s recovery and high-quality development.

China’s elevator industry is currently in a period of dual opportunity characterized by both stock upgrading and incremental expansion. With the country’s total elevator inventory growing year by year, demand continues to surge for renovation of aging residential communities, installation of elevators in existing buildings, and home elevators. Across the industry, the need for efficient and intelligent production and processing equipment is steadily increasing. Against this backdrop, technologies and equipment related to smart manufacturing and automated processing became the focus of attention at this exhibition, representing an important direction for manufacturing-side upgrades in the elevator sector.

At this exhibition, Derateck presented its fully automated flexible production line designed for high-volume sheet metal processing at Booth 31101-01. Throughout the event, the booth attracted a continuous stream of visitors and became a center of attention.

The fully automated flexible production line on display is Derateck’s core solution, purpose-built for high-volume sheet metal processing scenarios. It operated dynamically throughout the exhibition, providing a complete demonstration of the fully automated workflow and allowing visitors to experience firsthand the production efficiency of smart manufacturing.

The line integrates the punching and cutting combination machine LAP3.1550 and the panel bender BCF-2030 as its core processing capabilities, equipped with a industrial robotic arm to achieve fully automated material flow throughout the process. Its core advantages are as follows:

1. Fully Unmanned Operations

With a industrial robotic arms as the core material handling system, the production line can automatically perform sheet loading and pickup, inter-process transfer between punching/cutting and bending operations, and workpiece stacking — all with precise positioning throughout the entire workflow. No manual intervention is required at any stage, making it well-suited for batch processing of elevator sheet metal components.

2. One-Stop Multi-Process Completion

The punching and cutting combination machine supports multiple processes including punching, forming, beading, and cutting — all achievable with a single loading operation. The intelligent bending center employs servo-linked control capable of high-precision processing of various special-shaped workpieces, including perforated and openwork designs. All processes are completed in a single pass through the production line, eliminating inter-process transfer costs and significantly boosting processing efficiency.

3. Significant Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement

Compared with traditional discrete processing modes, the production line occupies substantially less floor space while reducing labor costs. It is equipped with a digital control system that facilitates production management and process optimization, helping enterprises reduce costs and increase efficiency amid industry competition.

Many customers who stopped to watch the complete processing workflow remarked that this production line directly addresses the current pain points in elevator sheet metal processing. At the exhibition, production managers and technical teams from multiple elevator manufacturers engaged in in-depth discussions at the booth, subsequently scheduling factory visits and sample testing. Several customers reached preliminary cooperation agreements on-site.

As a professional service provider in the field of intelligent sheet metal equipment, Derateck has served the elevator industry deeply for many years, developing a profound understanding of the processing requirements for typical elevator components such as door panels, car walls, landing doors, and guide rail brackets.

At the exhibition, through in-depth exchanges with industry experts and customer technical leaders, Derateck gained an even clearer understanding of the urgent needs within the elevator industry for flexible production, digital management, and cost reduction through efficiency gains. Going forward, Derateck will continue to focus on the processing challenges in the elevator industry, continuously refining its products and solutions to provide elevator manufacturers with more efficient and better-adapted sheet metal processing equipment, supporting the intelligent manufacturing upgrade of the elevator industry.

The exhibition is still underway — Derateck looks forward to your visit!
