To implement the national strategy of integrating industry and education and promoting school-enterprise cooperation, and to further align high-skilled talent training with the development of the manufacturing industry, more than 20 students from the Intelligent Manufacturing Class of Suzhou Chien-Shiung Institute of Technology visited Derateck’s Shanghai factory on June 16 for a themed study tour titled \u201cStep into the Enterprise, Understand Manufacturing, Experience Innovation.\u201d<\/p>\n

This event is a reflection of Derateck\u2019s long-term commitment to advancing the integration of industry, academia, and research. Over the years, Derateck has established cooperative relationships with numerous domestic research institutes and universities, signing joint development agreements aimed at creating a collaborative platform where enterprises and educational institutions complement each other\u2019s strengths, share resources, and drive innovation together. By accurately aligning industry demands with academic research capabilities, Derateck effectively promotes the transformation of research outcomes into practical applications, jointly advancing the continuous development of intelligent manufacturing technologies.<\/p>\n

During the visit, students first watched Derateck\u2019s corporate promotional video and an introduction to its manufacturing processes, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company’s development journey, core product lines, and achievements in intelligent and automated technologies.<\/p>\n

Led by technical staff, the group then toured Derateck\u2019s showroom, where they observed live demonstrations of several flagship sheet metal processing machines. Particular attention was given to CNC press brakes, CNC shearing machines, and laser cutting automation units, where students engaged deeply with the technical explanations, asked insightful questions, and showed great enthusiasm and curiosity. This immersive learning experience not only deepened their understanding of professional knowledge but also provided them with clearer insights into their future career paths.<\/p>\n
